Our team.
Fee (Fiona) McMurray - Founder and Director of Art Therapy Worx, Art Therapist, Holistic Counsellor and practising artist
Fee (Fiona) McMurray is an experienced Art Therapist. She believes in the power of art for self-expression and healing. Fee trained at Phoenix Institute in Melbourne and is in her final year of a Masters in Art Therapy to expand her knowledge. She is an insured member of ANZACATA, the Professional Body for Art Therapists, and is NDIS Registered ensuring her clients can trust her expertise and ethical practice.
Fee brings the richness of lived experience to her practice as she identifies as neurodiverse, has a formal diagnosis of ADHD and has self-diagnosed Autistic traits, and understands what it's like to navigate the world through that lens. That's why she created Art Therapy Worx, a safe and welcoming space, a SAFE environment, where all clients can freely express themselves through art and gain confidence. Utilising her background as an artist and expertise in facilitating art workshops, Fee helps guide clients on their creative journeys and assists them in understanding their emotions, experiences, and challenges.
Fee specialises in supporting kids, teens, and adults with Autism, ADHD, Disabilities, Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, and those who identify as LGBTQIA+. She follows NDIS guidelines and is adept at writing NDIS Reports. Fee offers both art therapy and counselling services, catering to the preferences and goals of her clients and providing a holistic experience.
Rosey, our Admin Angel & Receptionist
Not only is Rosey experienced at admin, spreadsheets and all things accounting wise, she is also a warm, loving and very empathetic human being! Just one conversation with her, when you ring Art Therapy Worx, and you’ll experience her warmth and helpfulness. She loves animals, too, so Jimmy, the Art Therapy cat, loves to cuddle up to her although, she has worked out a strategy so he doesn’t walk all over her computer keyboard! She is a local to Traralgon where she’s lived all her life, so she has country town welcome in her DNA :-)
Meet “Jimmy”, the Art Therapy Assistant Cat.
This little guy is a rescue cat. He's very curious, cuddly, and smoochy and loves to make you feel welcome at our Gippsland Art Therapy studio. Telehealth clients have the pleasure of a “Jimmy appearance” too!
Jimmy believes he’s the head honcho at Art Therapy Worx (the crown kind of gives that away!)
We think he missed the memo about his Job Description, though, as we’re sure it didn’t list his most important task as mostly napping!!
